Australian Domestic Flight Delays

In general just greater than 20% of domestic flights in Australia are delayed on arrival (more than X mins behind schedule). Delayed arrivals peaked after COVID ata 36% but has since been trending back to more normal levels. Historically, regional flights were delayed less than trunk routes, but this is currently not the case.

Route types are:

• Trunk: flights between capital cities of states and territories, including Canberra;
• Regional: any other flight
