The dataset compares cumulative building over the last 5 years and growth over the last 12 months for each ABS Census Statistical Area Level 2. Latest data is as at .

Notes:

• comparisons are by population deciles;
• values are are current price estimates;
• census income is the average personal income of all individuals, including people not in the labour force such as children and dependents;
• construction work includes all completed residential dwellings across the private and public sector (public and community housing), it excludes commencements; and
• building activity includes alterations and additions to existing buildings, non-structural renovation and refurbishment and installation of integral building fixtures.
